Regional Corn Genetic Sales Manager - remote (2200087) Where the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a professional like you to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for corn genetic sales and all sales activities in the Eastern Sales Territory of Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, and other northeastern states, as well as Canada. Formula for Success Organizing field day locations/entries and assisting Sales Agronomist with research trial placement within the territory. Develop, maintain, and support customer contacts and communications with on all seed companies within the territory representing hybrid corn products and providing performance data and technical knowledge. Forecast individual territory and sales team seedstock supply needs Collect, review, and submit customer test seed and seedstock orders, allocating supply, and coordinating distribution with Corn Supply Manager. Understand unique territory product needs. Evaluate and recommend those experimental corn hybrid products that fill those needs Field note taking required on hybrid and inbred observation plots at home location. Visit research trial locations to evaluate corn hybrids and provide technical knowledge to customers, contract growers, and internal staff. Participate in building yield trials and advancement of corn products with the sales team. Provide agronomic data and information for building product profile sheets. Assist with originators as needed. Taking on special projects related to candidate skills and experience. Ingredients for success A Bachelor's degree in a crop genetics, or agronomy-related field is very desirable, and at least 5 years of experience in such a field is required with 15 years of experience preferred. At least 5 years of experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships is required. Prior experience in corn product management or in corn hybrid evaluation is required. Prior experience with plot data analysis software, hybrid advancement presentations, sales presentations, and interaction with sales personnel and growers is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, and the ability to work well with others on a wide range of topics is mandatory. Experience with and knowledge of corn markets is desirable. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are also very desirable. Strong computer skills required and experience with relational databases preferred. The ability to use multiple presentation methods to effectively communicate to broad customer base is required.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
SalesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
